Contact Us

Ask us anything before you apply, including the medication question you are worried will disqualify you. A real person answers, nothing is charged to enquire, and there is no form to fill in — just write to us properly.

01

A physician reads every application

Not a coordinator, not a chatbot. If your file needs medical judgement it gets medical judgement, within 48 hours on weekdays.

02

Nothing is charged to enquire or apply

No deposit until a doctor has read your file and confirmed a place. Book flights after that, never before.

03

Two people see your history, and that is all

The reviewing physician and your integration lead. The maestros never see your medical file.

04

No drip sequence, no chasing

You will hear from us once with an answer. If you go quiet we assume the answer is no and leave you alone.

01 · One address

No form, no phone line, and a reason for both

The team works ninety minutes upriver and there is no phone signal past the boat. Email is the one channel that reaches us reliably wherever we happen to be, so that is the channel we publish rather than a number that rings out.

It also suits the questions people actually have. A medication history does not fit in a form field, and the enquiries worth sending are the long ones. Write as much as you need. Once you apply, a forty five minute call with your integration lead is scheduled at a time that works in your time zone.

Everything
support@eclmedia.agency

Applications, medical questions, dates, payment plans, press. One address, answered within 48 hours on weekdays.

Location
Iquitos, Loreto, Peru

An hour by road from Iquitos airport and thirty minutes by boat. The exact landing is sent on confirmation, and we collect you at arrivals.

Language
English and Spanish

Correspondence and ceremonies run in English. The maestros work in Shipibo, with translation at every point outside ceremony.

Response promise
One reply, with an answer

No sequences, no reminders, no sales calls. If we cannot help we will say so and point you somewhere that can.

Our other houses
If another location suits your body or your calendar better, we will tell you and book you there instead.

02 · Not sure where to start

Pick the question you actually have

Each of these opens an email with the subject line already filled in, so it reaches the right person on the first pass.

03 · What happens next

Four steps, and you can stop at any one of them

Within 48 hours

A named person replies

Not a no-reply address. If you asked a medical question, the answer comes from the physician rather than being paraphrased for you.

If you apply

Thirty four questions

Medication, cardiac and psychiatric history, and what you are hoping for. It reads like a pre-operative form because ayahuasca contains MAO inhibitors — and because a hospital is ninety minutes away, thirty of them on the river.

Then a call

Forty five minutes

With the integration lead who will stay with you for a year afterwards. Ask them anything, including what usually goes wrong and how guests handle the heat.

Only then

A place, or a plain no

Roughly one in five applications does not proceed. Declined applicants get the reason in writing and a referral list, at no charge, and are sometimes offered a place at one of our Andean houses instead.

Before you write

If your question is about a medication, include the name, the dose and how long you have taken it. That single detail turns a week of back and forth into one answer. The same goes for anything a travel clinic has prescribed.

In crisis

We are not an emergency service and we cannot respond quickly to a crisis. In the US call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or 911. Please do that first, and write to us afterwards.

About getting in touch

How do I contact you?
By email, at support@eclmedia.agency. That single address reaches the whole team, including the reviewing physician. We do not run a contact form or a phone line, because the questions worth asking are long ones and a form field is the wrong shape for them.
How quickly will I hear back?
Within 48 hours on weekdays. General enquiries are answered by a named person on the team. Completed applications are read by a physician before anyone replies with a decision, which is occasionally why it takes the full two days rather than an hour.
Why is there no phone number?
Because the team is ninety minutes upriver and there is no phone signal past the boat. Email is the one channel that reaches us reliably wherever we are, and it lets you write a proper medication history rather than compressing it into a form field. Once you apply, a call with your integration lead is scheduled at a time that works in your time zone.
Do I have to pay anything to enquire or apply?
No. Nothing is charged to enquire or to apply, and no deposit is taken until a physician has read your medical file and confirmed a place. Book flights after confirmation, never before.
Can I ask about my medication before applying?
Yes, and we would rather you did. Send the name and dose of anything you take, including supplements and any antimalarial your travel clinic has suggested, and the physician will tell you whether it is compatible, needs a supervised taper planned with your own prescriber, or is a full stop. We will not guess and we will not tell you what you want to hear.
Who reads what I send?
The reviewing physician and your integration lead. Nobody else, including the maestros, sees your medical history.
Will I be put on a mailing list?
No. There is no drip sequence and no follow up you did not ask for. If you go quiet, we assume the answer is no and leave you alone.
Can I visit before I commit?
Not during a retreat week, because twelve guests are working and the house is closed. The property is also ninety minutes upriver, so a casual visit is a half day trip by road and boat rather than a drive. Between weeks we can arrange a call with the integration lead.
Do you speak Spanish?
Yes. Correspondence and ceremonies are run in English for our guests, and the team is bilingual. The maestros work in Shipibo, with translation available at every point outside ceremony.

Ask the awkward question first.

The medication you think will disqualify you, the diagnosis you have not told anyone, the month you are not sure you can take off. Those are the ones worth sending, and they are the ones we are best at answering.
